The National Smallholders Organisation was originally established to help new entrants into the smallholding sector as it appeared that there was very little support for small scale farming.

The National Smallholders Organisation has now grown to become the main provider of information and professional advice and consultancy for all smallholders with all types of livestock and produce. Thus allowing not only the new entrant to get the most from their land without having the expense of employing an independent consultant but it has become apparent that you never stop learning and the NSO finds itself providing a valuable service to the more established and experienced smallholder.

The aim of the National Smallholders Organisation is to provide practical information and advice about living and working on a smallholding making the experience as successful, fulfilling and enjoyable as possible.

Whether your smallholding is for self-sufficiency, used to cut living costs, as a money making business or just for fun and "to grow food like Granny used to" we will endeavour to provide you with any assistance you may require.
